By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence;

The (angels who) snatch (the souls of the disbelievers) forcibly.
|

And/by the strangers/life extractors, exaggerating/absorbing (violently).

By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed);
|
|
And those who gently take (the souls of the believers) joyfully.
|
|
And/by the active/pullers, actively/pulling.

And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy),
|
|
And those floating everywhere.
|
|
And/by the ships/stars/fast (could be angels), tending to the livelihood/floating.

Then press forward as in a race,
|
|
Eagerly racing with one another -
|
|
So the racing/surpassing/preceding, racing/surpassing/preceding.
|
|

|
5. * |
Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord),
|
|
to carry out various commands.
|
|
So the regulators/arrangers/planners (of) a matter/affair/order/command.
|
|

|
|
6. * |
One Day everything that can be in commotion will be in violent commotion,
|
|
The day the quake quakes.
|
|
A day/time the first blow of the horn trembles and shakes/agitates.
|
|

|
7. * |
Followed by oft-repeated (commotions):
|
|
Followed by the second blow.
|
|
The followed closely behind follows it.
|
|

|
|
8. * |
Hearts that Day will be in agitation;
|
|
Certain minds will be terrified.
|
|
Hearts (on) that day (are) palpitating/pounding.
|
|

|
|
9. * |
Cast down will be (their owners') eyes.
|
|
Their eyes will be subdued.
|
|
Its eyesight/understanding (is) humble/submissive.
|
|

|
|
10. * |
They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state?
|
|
They will say, "We have been recreated from the grave!
|
|
They say: "Are we returning (E) in the first creation ?"
|
|
yqwlwn aYna lmrdwdwn fy alHafr+
|
|
11. * |
"What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?"
|
|
"How did this happen after we had turned into rotten bones?"
|
|
Is (it that) if we were decayed/decomposed bones.
|
|

|
|
12. * |
They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!"
|
|
They had said, "This is an impossible recurrence."
|
|
They said: "That is then a loosing repetition."
|
|
qalwa tlk aXa kr+ Kasr+
|
|
13. * |
But verily, it will be but a single (Compelling) Cry,
|
|
All it takes is one nudge.
|
|
So but it is one deterrent/cry to drive out.
|
|

|
14. * |
When, behold, they will be in the (full) awakening (to Judgment).
|
|
Whereupon they get up.
|
|
So then they are at the Earth's surface.
|
|

|
15. * |
Has the story of Moses reached thee?
|
|
Have you known about the history of Moses?
|
|
Did Moses' information/speech come to you?
|
|

Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:-
|
|
His Lord called him at the holy valley of Tuwaa.
|
|
When His Lord called him at the Valley the Holy/Sanctified Tuwan/concealed/folded within :

|
|

"Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds:
|
|
"Go to Pharaoh; he has transgressed."
|
|
Go to Pharaoh, that he truly exceeded the limit/tyrannized.
|
|

|
|
18. * |
"And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?-
|
|
Tell him, "Would you not reform?
|
|
So say: 'Is there for you that (E) you purify/become righteous ?'

|
19. * |
"'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'"
|
|
"Let me guide you to your Lord, that you may turn reverent."
|
|
'And I guide you to your Lord so you fear.'

Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign.
|
|
He then showed him the great miracle.
|
|
So he showed him/made him understand the verse/evidence/sign, the greatest/biggest.

But (Pharaoh) rejected it and disobeyed (guidance);
|
|
But he disbelieved and rebelled.
|
|
So he denied/falsified, and he disobeyed.

Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah..
|
|
Then he turned away in a hurry.
|
|
Then he gave his back/ended/passed hastening.

23. * |
Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation,
|
|
He summoned and proclaimed.
|
|
So he gathered, so he called.
|
|

|
24. * |
Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High".
|
|
He said, "I am your Lord; most high."
|
|
So he said: "I am your lord the highest/mightiest."
|
|
fqal ana rbkm ala`li
|
|
25. * |
But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life.
|
|
Consequently, GOD committed him to the retribution in the Hereafter, as well as in the first life.
|
|
So God punished/took him (the) severe exemplary punishment (of) the end (other life) and the first/beginning.

|
|
26. * |
Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth ((Allah)).
|
|
This is a lesson for the reverent.
|
|
That truly in that (is) an example/warning (E) to who fears.

|
27. * |
What! Are ye the more difficult to create or the heaven (above)? ((Allah)) hath constructed it:
|
|
Are you more difficult to create than the heaven? He constructed it.
|
|
Are you (a) stronger creation or the sky/space (which) He built/constructed it?

|

|
|
28. * |
On high hath He raised its canopy, and He hath given it order and perfection.
|
|
He raised its masses, and perfected it.
|
|
He raised its height/thickness, so He straightened it.
|
|

29. * |
Its night doth He endow with darkness, and its splendour doth He bring out (with light).
|
|
He made its night dark, and brightened its morn.
|
|
And He darkened its night, and He brought out its day break.
|

|
30. * |
And the earth, moreover, hath He extended (to a wide expanse);
|
|
He made the earth egg-shaped.
|
|
And the earth/Planet Earth after that He blew and stretched/spread it.
|
|

|
|
31. * |
He draweth out therefrom its moisture and its pasture;
|
|
From it, He produced its own water and pasture.
|
|
He brought out from it its water and its pasture.
|
|
aKrj mnha ma'ha wmr`aha
|
|
32. * |
And the mountains hath He firmly fixed;-
|
|
He established the mountains.
|
|
And the mountains, He anchored it/fixed it firmly.
|
|

|
33. * |
For use and convenience to you and your cattle.
|
|
All this to provide life support for you and your animals.
|
|
Enjoyment for you and for your camels/livestock.
|
|

|
34. * |
Therefore, when there comes the great, overwhelming (Event),-
|
|
Then, when the great blow comes.
|
|
So if/when the Calamity/Greatest Disaster/Resurrection Day the greatest came.

|
35. * |
The Day when man shall remember (all) that he strove for,
|
|
That is the day when the human will remember everything he did.
|
|
A day/time the human/mankind remembers/recites what he strived/endeavored.
|
|

|
|
36. * |
And Hell-Fire shall be placed in full view for (all) to see,-
|
|
Hell will be brought into existence.
|
|
And the Hell was made to emerge to who sees/understands.

|
|
37. * |
Then, for such as had transgressed all bounds,
|
|
As for the one who transgressed.
|
|
So but who exceeded the limit/tyrannized/became arrogant.
|
|

|
|
38. * |
And had preferred the life of this world,
|
|
Who was preoccupied with this life.
|
|
And preferred/chose the life the present/worldly life.
|
|
waxr alHya+ aldnya
|
|
39. * |
The Abode will be Hell-Fire;
|
|
Hell will be the abode.
|
|
So then the Hell, it is the shelter/refuge.
|
|
fan aljHym hy almawi
|
|
40. * |
And for such as had entertained the fear of standing before their Lord's (tribunal) and had restrained (their) soul from lower desires,
|
|
As for the one who reverenced the majesty of his Lord, and enjoined the self from sinful lusts.
|
|
And but who feared his Lord's position/status and he forbid/prevented the self from the self attraction for desire.

|
wama mn Kaf mqam rbh wnhi alnfs `n alhwi
|
|
41. * |
Their abode will be the Garden.
|
|
Paradise will be the abode.
|
|
So then the Paradise/treed garden, it is the shelter/refuge.
|
|
fan aljn+ hy almawi
|
|
42. * |
They ask thee about the Hour,-'When will be its appointed time?
|
|
They ask you about the Hour, and when it will take place!
|
|
They ask/question you about the Hour/Resurrection when (is) its landing ?
|
|
ysAlwnk `n alsa`+ ayan mrsaha
|
|
43. * |
Wherein art thou (concerned) with the declaration thereof?
|
|
It is not you (Muhammad) who is destined to announce its time.
|
|
In what you are from mentioning/remembering it (what do you know about it or its time)?
|
|

|
|
44. * |
With thy Lord in the Limit fixed therefor.
|
|
Your Lord decides its fate.
|
|
To your Lord (is) its ultimate/absolute end.
|
|

|
|
45. * |
Thou art but a Warner for such as fear it.
|
|
Your mission is to warn those who expect it.
|
|
Truly/but you are a warner/giver of notice (to) who fears it.
|
|
anma ant mnXr mn yK$aha
|
|
46. * |
The Day they see it, (It will be) as if they had tarried but a single evening, or (at most till) the following morn!
|
|
The day they see it, they will feel as if they lasted one evening or half a day.
|
|
As if they are, a day/time they see it, they did not stay/remain/wait (in their graves) except an evening or its daybreak/forenoon 456
|
